The Silence of the Lambs ( 1991) 118min

ffff fff ffff.......... this film received 5 Acadmey awards and if your one of those people that aint seen and I would be surprised  - its about a cool and collected FBI agent ( Jodie Foster) who thinks she can beat a serial killer to his next kill with the help of an imprisoned killer who did it better.

Hannibal Lecter (Anthony Hopkins) is based on a real life killer called Albert Fish.....ffff....ffff.... Fish had apparently become intrigued by the taste of meat by friends who at  had been in china at the end of the 19th century - where food had become so  hard to come by that children under tha age of 12 were often sold for food. On returned to N.York Fishes friend had stole 2 boys age 7 and 11 and boiled , broiled, fried and stewed them, the one with the fattest ass first. That night as his friends child sat his lap, he decided to eat her... he took her to a disused house  , choked her to death, cut her into small pieces, cooked and ate her. It took him 9 days to eat the whole body. A frail looking man it seemed unlikely he would ever do such a thing. But little of the actual evidence was printed in the newspapers.

Some of the details from papers at the time.
